About Toronto gas prices
Toronto pump prices reflect wholesale gasoline costs, taxes and competition between stations. Crude oil prices, refinery supply and the Canadian dollar can change the wholesale cost. Ontario has a small amount of crude oil production and major refineries in Sarnia and Nanticoke, as described in the Canada Energy Regulator's Ontario energy profile. Stations may pass through wholesale changes at different times, so a city average does not tell you what a particular pump will charge.
Use our Toronto price ranking to compare stations on your route, then check each report time. Reports from the last 12 hours rank ahead of reports aged 12–36 hours. A low price can change before you arrive. Nearby city pages cover Mississauga, Brampton and other GTA communities separately.
